Active School Flag

Our school is striving to achieve a physically educated and physically active school community. With help from our teachers, students, parents and wider community we hope that in 2018 our school will be recognised as an official ‘Active School’. As always, when the school community puts our collective minds to something we can achieve big things. This will be no different. So with everyone’s help, ideas and support, we expect to be flying the Active School Flag with pride at the end of this school year. To carry out our Active School application, we needed the help of our students. To facilitate this we set up an ‘Active Schools Committee’. We have two members of each class from 1st class up represented on our active School committee who meet regularly throughout the year. They have been working hard with Ms.Cremin and Rita, carrying out surveys, sharing ideas and performing duties. All our A.S.F. initiatives are possible thanks to the research, ideas and hard work of the ASF committee. Well done to all involved, you are doing a great job!!

The Active Committee have been very busy so far getting involved in making all the children aware of our ‘Active Code’ using the letters  BALLYHASS:

      • Be
  • ACTIVE,
  • LIVE
  • LIFE
  • YOUTHFULLY,
  • HAVE
  • A
  • SPORTY
  • SCHOOL
